Korea is currently facing an unprecedented health crisis due to rapid population aging and the early onset of chronic diseases. It is time to move beyond the traditional disease-centered paradigm and adopt a salutogenic approach that focuses on creating and promoting health.

Our education and research group aims to cultivate global leaders capable of addressing fundamental health issues through the convergence of exercise science and medicine. Based on the 3L–3I–3F–3E LIFE Strategy, we strengthen cooperation among academia, industry, local communities, and global laboratories, with the goal of establishing the Korean Center for Salutogenesis by 2027 and becoming one of the world’s top ten research centers in this field.

We are already operating a global research network of 32 laboratories from 29 universities across 10 countries, publishing our achievements in top-tier international journals. In addition, through multinational studies in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the development of standardized exercise programs for cancer patients, we are making meaningful contributions to solving real-world health challenges.
