Introduction

Chul Won Lee is a professor in the Department of Sport Industry Studies. He earned a master's degree from Yonsei University and a doctoral degree in Educational Policy & Leadership from the Ohio State Universtiy. Currently, he leads a 'leisure business research lab' at Yonsei University focusing on leisure customer behavior, leisure consumption strategies., leisure city planning(Norheast and Middle East Asian Cities), leisure branding , and e-sport business. 

He has served as presidents of various organizations, including Society for Leisure and Culture Studies, Korean Society of Leisure, Recreation & Park, the Korean Association for Qualitative Inquiry, and Korean Society for Leisure Sciences. Prefessor Lee emphasizes that leisure business research is fundamentally about "listening to the vocies of leisure customers."
